Formula / Method

What the checker does

The checker estimates dew point from dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity, compares measured inlet conditions against the selected envelope and applies simplified altitude derating where relevant.

Dew point uses a Magnus-style approximation from temperature and relative humidity.

Should I measure room temperature or server inlet temperature?

Use server inlet temperature where possible. Room thermostat readings can hide hot spots, recirculation, poor airflow or rack-level temperature differences.

Why include dew point?

Dew point helps screen condensation and humidity risk. Temperature alone is not enough for environmental review.
